Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider that uses industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit). Each user's data is isolated using Row Level Security — meaning your data can only be accessed by you when you are logged in with your account credentials.
Photos and files you upload are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls that prevent other users from accessing your files.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
We work with the following service providers solely to operate the app. They process your data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose:
We do not share your information with any other third parties, including advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.
Location access is requested only when you actively start a walk. Your GPS coordinates are used to draw your walk route on the map and calculate distance. This data is stored in your account so you can view past walks. You can delete any walk record at any time, which permanently removes the associated location data. You may also deny location access in your device settings, in which case walk tracking features will not be available but all other app features will work normally.
Ruff Society Health is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@theruffsociety.com and we will delete that information promptly.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Ruff Society LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the Ruff Society Health application ("App") available at theruffsocietyhealth.com. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Ruff Society Health is a pet health and activity tracking application that allows users to log walks, health records, vaccines, medications, symptoms, and other pet-related information. The App is provided free of charge.

Ruff Society Health is a personal record-keeping tool only. Nothing in the App constitutes veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Company is not a licensed veterinary service. Always seek the guidance of a qualified veterinarian for any questions regarding your pet's health. Never disregard professional veterinary advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or tracked in this App.
You retain full ownership of all content you upload or create in the App, including photos, notes, and health records ("Your Content"). By using the App, you grant The Ruff Society LLC a limited license to store, display, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's features to you. We will never use Your Content for any other purpose.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to submit it. You agree not to upload content that infringes any third-party rights or violates any laws.
The Ruff Society Health App, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by The Ruff Society LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE RUFF SOCIETY LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for any loss of data, although we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE RUFF SOCIETY LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY HARM TO YOUR PET ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the past six months, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Ruff Society LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@theruffsociety.com. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics tools. We store only what is necessary to keep you logged in and make the app work.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, behavioral advertising, or third-party analytics, this setting has no practical effect on your experience with our App.
